The Palisade Historical Society’s November History Talk at the Ordinary Fellow Winery, 202 Peach Avenue in Palisade, will be “Palisade: Then & Now.” The Town of Palisade has a vibrant, rich, and unique history that spans more than 120 years. Join JoAnn Rasmussen, Chair of the Palisade Historical Society, as she shares vintage photos of Palisade, with their modern-day equivalents! Palisade’s distinctive landmarks, with its view of Mt. Garfield, Mt. Lincoln, the Bookcliffs and palisades, Grand Mesa, and the Colorado River, coupled with buildings that have been here since before Palisade was founded in 1904, make it easy to stand in the footprints of the photographers of the past to capture the images of today. How much has changed over the years? Come and find out! Using these images, the Palisade Historical Society has created a 2025 Palisade: Then & Now Calendar, and they will be available at the event for a suggested donation. These limited edition calendars make the perfect holiday gift, so get them while supplies last! All donations support the Palisade Historical Society’s mission of collecting, preserving, and communicating the unique history of Palisade. The History Talk presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7th at The Ordinary Fellow Winery. This program is open to the public in a relaxed and comfortable setting for people to learn about Palisade’s unique history and enjoy a glass of wine. The tasting room opens at noon, so come early. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
