Printmaking: Relief, Monoprinting, Collagraphic

Join artist, Vera Mulder, to explore the art of printmaking. Vera will offer a three series class beginning with simple relief printmaking, which is one of the basic techniques dating back to the Gutenberg era. This technique involves the cutting away of negative space. Ink is applied to the remaining positive space and printing. The next class will be monoprinting. This technique is painting on a slick surface and pulling a print, thus the name "Mono" print. The third class will be collagraphic which is an additive process, similar to collage, but with three dimensional type plates. Each session fee is $15 with only an additional $5 for ink and cutting material, from 11am - 2pm.
